The M Machine Builds iPad-Controlled Light Show From Scratch

Out near the piers in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood, electronic band The M Machine records and lives with other artists in a warehouse where 1980s rockers Journey used to practice. The band's latest project: A massive, glowing M that the band will use on tour to support new EP Metropolis Pt. 1. The sophisticated stage prop is a central character in the album's narrative and also in the band's iconography.
