Paradox of Hoaxes: Back to the Future to Spinach

This summer's Back to the Future hoax wasn’t the first time a fudged screenshot of the DeLorean’s time counters spread across the internet. Not not only were people spreading incorrect information, but the collective internet consciousness didn’t recognize the return of the same error. And when we do recognize such errors, we can’t fix them as easily as we might like -- even given our unprecedented ability to crowdfix mistakes.
